Arlington Community Network sponsors bi-monthly coffeehouse
Arlington Community Network’s debut open mic coffeehouse will take place Monday, April 5th at Jam N Java, 6:30-8:30pm. Actually, it is Arlington Community Network’s debut, but the bi-monthly coffeehouse has been going on nearly a year now as the Famboogle coffeehouse, and has turned out to be a huge success. If you come, you will catch a variety of musicians from Arlington and beyond, playing a range of styles including folk, jazz, pop/rock, Hawaiian, Irish, and new age. You may even by surprised by seeing neighbors you never knew had talent, like local real estate agent, Rebecca Riopelle. Did you know that woman can really sing? And the talent runs in the family. Her son, Tristan, regularly accompanies her on guitar. And if you have never heard local children’s singer, Liz Buchanan sing adult music, then you are in for a treat. She and her singing partner, Gordon MacFarland are also regulars at the coffeehouse. She is so regular, in fact, that last month she even showed up in her neck brace, acquired from the horrible accident on route 2 most of you are no doubt familiar with. Discover Aura Valdes, another Arlingtonian, with a style all her own, and when she is not in New York competing in Irish music competitions, we might expect to my neighbor, 19 year old Catherine Joyce, who some of you might know from Quebrada Bakery, and who sings Irish songs, plays Irish fiddle, and tin whistle, in her father’s tradition.
This month’s coffeehouse will feature pop/rock singer/songwriter Lauren Bateman, and you! Sign up to play, or just come to listen, relax after work, and pick up an ACN membership card, so you can take advantage of local deals in town!

We would like to thank our generous partner, Creig Muscato of Jam N Java, for staying open late on these Mondays to make our coffeehouses possible. Refreshments will be available for sale.
Admission is free though donations are greatly appreciated. See you April 5!
